Did you know that you can have prostate cancer without any symptoms?
It's what happened to me in 2019. I went to the doctor because of feeling tired and thirsty.
Two blood tests, a finger up the bum, a biopsy later and that is the result I got.
I had to have my prostate and nerves removed, so I can no longer get an erection without a pump.
After the operation my PSA went up over three blood tests, because I still had cancer in the prostate area.
I had radiotherapy in April/ May and am slowly recovering.
I had the great news that it was all gone in July.
I caught my cancer early and am still alive for which I am very thankful.
I am taking each day as it comes.
If you or someone you no has any health change, no matter how trivial it may seem, go and get checked out.
Don't delay because I did for a while and when my cancer was caught it was about to become aggressive.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
