On June 6th I got out of the shower and looked at myself in the mirror. I thought mmmm, that looks odd. My right boob had a sort of dent in it on the outside. I carried on with my day but that night in bed, lying on my back I had a bit of a feel around. There it was! A largish lump. I thought....oh dear! Will ring the doctors tomorrow.
The following day was the start of the new term, so school was crazy busy. By 5pm as I was leaving for home I realised I'd forgotten to ring the doctors
Tuesday I rang my GP at 10am. He said if you can get down asap I can have a look. I got someone to cover my class and away I went. The GP had a bit of feel around both boobs. Probably a cyst he said but best to get it checked out. One-stop shop appointment booked for the following Wednesday 16th June. The first bout of waiting begins.
I told my lovely partner and my best friend and my amazing teaching assistant (plus my boss) and then waited.......
