Breast cancer and people who go on to live amazing and fulfilling lives!

Less than one minute read time.

Although the death of Sarah Harding is a very sad loss and raises the question about breast screening under 30's, I think it's also good to remember that there are numerous celebrities who've had breast cancer and are still singing, acting, working. Some of these women are: Jennifer Saunders, Victoria Derbyshire, Jo Malone, Kylie Minogue, Dame Maggie Smith, Sheryl Crow, Olivia Newton-John, Sharon Osborne - there are many more. Two hearts

  • I'm so glad you put that! I'm in bed, today I was told pre op 21st and mastectomy and lymph node removed week after on 28th. I'm devastated.  can't have reconstruction as radiotherapy needed on tumour under breast on chest wall. I'm single and thinking no one will ever want me - really wallowing...

Thank you! your random post has changed my  negative mindset and I'm thinking of these women who have lived on and continue to do so. May you too live long and prosper!!! xxxx

  • I'm so glad my post helped you. We hear so much about death and how people don't survive- I think it's important to remember all of the survivors. Good luck I'll be thinking of you x

  • Cupboardlove the right people love each other for who and what they are. I really hope you feel a bit more positive about being single and looking forward to the loves and adventures life is yet to bring you. I've had my biggest achievements when single ie travelling the world, working with elephants, getting an honours degree in my 30s as a single mum.

  • Oops pressed send too soon.... the right person will love you for who you are, and that is a result of your life's experiences.  Good luck with the op. I'm having a theraputic mammoplasty. = double breast reduction where they take the cancer in 1st October.  Been waiting 2 months so it's been an emotional haul. Hang in there. X

  • You're so right. These ladies have walked this journey and come out the other side - I must keep faith.

Sleep tonight was horrible. I should have just not sleep in the day. Somehow the days/nights are mixed all in one now.
