The colour red: capecitabine had a sting in the tail for me this cycle; all had been reasonably OK until the last few days of the tablet fortnight. That nasty palmar-plantar side-effect seems to get me every time: sure enough, the colour red began to emerge on my feet with its accompanying soreness and peeling skin. My sympathies to any fellow palmar-plantar sufferers. I’ll spare the blog the foot photos, but instead, I turn to the garden where the colour red has shown itself, beautifully and often surprisingly. This time, a single red rose bathed in rain drops and a joyous patch of red amongst the golden acer leaves. Nature wins!
