Clocks change and autumn has kicked in. An important turning point in my journey. My daily photos are marking the counting of chemo days and cycles, helping me through it all. My chemo started when it was hot and dry; now, though, as I approach the much needed halfway milestone, we’re into autumn and hunkering down.
These two photos mark the season change, with just a few leaves hanging on in there on one of my favourite trees, and the wider view of the changing colours across my treescape.
Each morning I look out to the changing tree colours, sometimes sparkling in glorious sunlight, and other times, grimacing against a moody grey. This mirrors as I assess how I feel each morning: has chemo dug in with a new point of attack, or am I bearing up?
Whatever colours my trees present, they are a visual delight. Seasons move on, another day of chemo crossed off.
