"Look closely (at my feet) and send us a photo" was something I was asked to do by my oncology helpline when I rang to discuss how sore my feet were getting. Very understanding support as always, but have you ever tried to photograph the underside of your feet, perhaps focussing in on a blister? Hilarious, sense of humour defnitiely required, glad no one was looking, as I contorted and wobbled, trying to keep a steady hand available to obtain the required images. Job done eventually, but this task was mirrored by some recent photos from the garden where I went out with one objective but ended up distracted and delighted by looking closely at what was in front of me, and nature just doing its thing. As I leant over a deep pink sedum plant, my eyes caught this little spider, hovering, and then darting off the flowerhead, quick as a flash. And then yesterday, as I tried to decide if it was time to prune the old lavender flowers, I "spotted" this little dainty ladybird, perhaps just resting and infusing the wonderful lavender scent. A moment to savour!
