I can't remember the exact date but towards the end of June this year, I noticed a lump in my left armpit. It wasn't painful, but felt pretty big. Well, bigger than a pea anyway. It felt chunky and long, kind of like one of those pink and white sweeties, a Squashies. I thought it might just be one of those things (whatever that means) and tried to forget about it. But I couldn't forget about it. I don't know whether it was my gut or some weird Spidey sense, but I knew this wasn't good. After about 10 days of waking up and hoping it had miraculously disappeared overnight, I decided I best make an appointment to see my GP.
