With less than 24 hours to go until the polling booths open there is not long to wait to find out the outcome of an election where how to improve cancer outcomes has been a major source of debate. All the parties have made key pledges as to how they will set about achieving this goal.
It is great that improving cancer outcomes has been such a big issue and that has been in part down to the campaigning efforts of Macmillan, and particularly our supporters, with more than 6,500 of you voting Cancer Support. However it is now crucial that the campaign continues at full pace, to turn pre-election promises into an improved reality for people affected by cancer.
We will continue to push our three calls to improve the lives of those living with cancer, improve access to drugs for rarer cancers and improve access to round the clock nursing for those nearing the end of their life. As with the campaign pre-election its success will be dependant on your help, and we will let you know shortly what you can do. However in the meantime all that remains is to say is a big thank you for all your efforts so far.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
