We know that many cancer patients have experienced major problems in trying to get Employment and Support Allowance (the new name for Incapacity Benefit), and last year we published a report highlighting those problems. We've been working with the Government to try and correct those problems this year.
We have also been working with other charities to add more voices to what we're saying. We are a member of the Disability Benefits Consortium, a national coalition of over 30 different charities and organisations committed to working towards a fair benefits system.
The DBC have worked together to create a survey about the benefits system so that we can take the results to the Government and show them what disabled people really think. If you would like to take part in the survey please follow this link. The survey is open until 20th October. We'd love to get your views!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
