If anyone deserves a break, it’s someone with cancer.
This week we launched our 'Give us a break' campaign to make sure travel insurance is clear and fairly priced, so that people with cancer can take a break when they really need it.
Can you share our campaign on social media to help us reach more people and raise awareness of the issue? Or, if you have or have had cancer yourself, and have experience of getting travel insurance, we’d love to hear from you.
What’s the problem?
Every day we hear from people who are having trouble getting travel insurance cover:
Often people are simply unable to take a break when they really need it, even years after returning to good health after successful treatment.
We want people with cancer to be able to access clear and fairly priced travel insurance policies, before, during, or after treatment. That way, more people can take a break when they really need it.
What are we doing to change this?
Our 'Give us a break' campaign aims to raise awareness of the problems people with cancer often face when getting travel insurance, and as part of the campaign we’re asking people to share their experience of getting travel insurance with us.
Last month, we provided evidence and insight to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) about the challenges cancer patients face. The FCA has now called for a review, and we’re looking forward to working with them – and the insurance industry – to find solutions. Find out more on our website.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
