Well first day on chemo yesterday thats wednesday 10th december 08
I must say that apart from extreme nausea and the hot flashes and very tired i feel pretty good
I have now been imformed that i will recieve the trial drug as of next wednesday 17th and every week for the next 4 months trial drug is called xelin has anyone heard of this drug.
WOW really seems a long way away doesnt it.
My chemo treatment is
Irinotecan by infusion every 3 weeks
Capecitabine twice a day for 14 days
Metocopramide 2 tablets 4 times a day {but having this changed to a stronger one as this isnt working }
Dexamethasone 2 tablets twice a day for 3 days
Thankyou to everyone that is supporting me through this myself and my family really apreciate it.

Glad you feeling ok on the chemo. It deffo seems to affect everyone differently. My Mum was on her second as you were on your first and she is feeling good on it too, bit tiread during the 2nd week, so be prepared for that.
You should start feeling better as it gets to work too.
Oh Rosie! So happy you have started! Regarding the Dex and the nausea. Just have plenty of good food around for snacking. Small portions throughout the day so that when you feel like eating you can and when your have to eat (the Dex) you are eating good stuff! Hang in there Babe - you are very Brave! :) Best, Lori
