Last chemo today.

Less than one minute read time.
Today was my last appointment with Sister Rachel of the Catheter, sounds like a nun in a religious order doesn't she. It seems as if each one comes around a little too soon after the last and the discomfort gets a bit more each time. But putting it into perspective how can I complain after reading other peoples blogs. They go through a whole lot more and have far bigger problems than I do. Next milestone is 8 weeks until the camera invaded my tackle to take a peep into my bladder. Just at the same time as the worst weather for years comes knocking at our door my car starts acting silly. got a petrol leak and the diagnosis is that I need a new petrol tank. One phone call later to the main dealer and I'm looking at a bill of just over £800 for the new parts, and needless to say none in stock anywhere in the country, has to be ordered from ...... probably Germany (it's a Ford), so I'm running around in an assortment of odd motors for the time being.

Have a glass of something nice and pat yourself on the back (also for being very entertaining in your blogs; please don't go away!)

    Congrats Bren!  Well done!

On the car thing...it is quite annoying to me how life doesn't stop swirling around because you are sick!  It should just a bit don't you think?  No bills, no repairs, no solicitors at the door.  Should be mandatory.  :)

    Best, Lori

Once again your blog brought a smile to my face even though it wasn't "funny"!  I love your style of writing.  What a pain about your car.  Mine was booked in for MOT on Tues but snow put paid to that! I've only managed to drive it 4 times since August and it was only serviced in July so I'm hoping it should pass after having new exhaust and tyres!!! If it doesn't then that's it, I have NO money to fix it.

As you say Lori, it's a bit much to cope with 'everday' hassles on top of illness!

    Take care

For the kind comments you all posted, I hesitated about putting in the name of the chemo nurse in case people worked out the way my brain worked (errrr.... weird) but her proper title is Urology nurse practitioner and her surname is the same as a certain english apple  _ _ _'s Pippin. If you get my way of thinking, somehow seems wholly suitable. And she's great, top marks to her.
