Winter Fuel Allowance

Less than one minute read time.

OK this may not be the correct place to put this - in a blog. BUT there maybe people who look here first and don't wander around the site.

Thinking about the really cold spell we have been having a little light came on in the dim dark recesses of my empty mind. What if people become eligible for this and don't realise?

So here are 3 clicky type links to read about the allowance. Self explanatory I think, and if you can find your way around the Mac site this should be no problem.

And if anybody wants to slap my legs for posting this in a blog, I'll be over there in the corner sitting quietly and trying to be good.

ps....i think everyone does get a one off cold weather payment if the temp drops below a certain point for more then 3 days in a row, or something like that but i think is only a few extra quid....and then again we are lucky in the uk to have a decent benifits system unlike in some crappy countrys ..saw this thing on tv about in america were cancer patients could not afford to buy anti sickness pills....no health insurance = sod off and suffer....must be like a third world country in the usa....
