.. all change

Less than one minute read time.

I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer and I have to have mastectomy in January and then chemo starts afterwards.  My life has turned upside down in a matter of days, I'm terrified and can't stop thinking the worse deep inside despite putting on a brave face for my baby girl...Be great to talk to people in similar situ?

Hi my situation is slightly diff as in I don't have breast cancer, but was diagnosed with bowel cancer on 2nd Nov this year. I am 38 and have two children aged 9 and 12. I was such a fit healthy person (or so I thought) and it has been such a huge shock as i'm sure yours is too.

I am learning so much by being on here and only joined few days ago. I had op on 21st Nov to remove tumour and part of the bowel and am recovering at home at mo.

Went On Friday to get all my results and it had spread to my lymph nodes, although I have been told  am cancer free at mo, they are advising chemo which I found out yesterday will be starting in the next 2-3 weeks.

I am terrified of what it will be like and how the children will cope!

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis, your little girl will help you through and atleast she won't be so aware of whats going on.

    Take care Caroline x
