So sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my father in 1989 - 20 years ago in December. Things will be raw now but time is a great healer. Try to remember your Dad when he was at his best. He is at peace now. Cherish all the lovely memories and happy times you shared.

Things will get easier but your memories will keep him close to you.

I'm so sorry to read about your dear dad.  It seems to be a common theme that people seem to improve just before passing. I know it was with my own grandparents/uncles etc.  It's almost like they gather the strength for their final journey but we all take it as a sign that they are getting better, so it comes as more of a shock when they leave.

It will be very hard for you all now but gain strength from each other and remember your dad with love. Sending you a hug at this very sad time

so sorry you call it the thing,

cancer has afected me from the early age of 15, my grandad passed away with it ,over the years some more of my family members have too. ,

two only last year ,i know its hard to accept the passing of loved ones , but we are the ones left .

as pheonix says , remember your dad with love.

I lost my mum 6 days ago so I really do know how you are feeling.
