As i lie awake at night

Whilst others are asleep

I take a trip down memory lane

With a tear upon my cheek

I think of all the heartache

I try so hard to hide

I think of all the times

I've broken down and cried

I cry because i love you

I cry because i care

I cry because i'll wake

And you won't be there

    Just wanted to say that your peom was lovely. I cannot imagine how hard it is to lose a partner to this awful disease, I see the sorrow in my stepdads eyes and it is only a glimpse of that deep in his heart. Steve would be very proud of you, and you have him with you in your heart always, memories are always with us, although they cant begin to fill this void they can in time hopefuly offer you a little comfort .
