Mums 68th Birthday today

1 minute read time.
Tonight has been a real tear jerker. Yet again my mums sister turned up along with my cousin, my mums brother and wife. Then my other Aunty and Uncle this morning. Then me and my hubbie, my brother Alan, then my brother, his wife, grand children of mum and dad. Apparently mum had been taking it all in today and her sister and brother were reminiscing about their child hood. it made mum smile. Then when we visited tonight, we could hardly get in the room for flowers. loads of people had bought mum roses, for her name sake, Jean Rose. Then my brother and wife came in, and he read their cards out to her, he cried all the way through. Then he couldn't take anymore so he asked his wife to do the next bit. They had a scroll which they had named a star after mum, the words moved us all to tears. My dad burst into tears and we had to go out of the room and comfort each other. Poor mum was making weird noises as though she was crying, but trying to hold it back.It was so distressing. She was absolutely worn out. I have a sad feeling that she may go soon, I think she hung on for her birthday, but I don't know for sure. Mum is not eating, just drinking milk, water and tiny, tiny bits of sorbet . The nurses had a cake made for her and it was a gorgeous strawberry and cream cake, we all had some as mum wanted us to eat it. Dad is thinking of selling his house when mum dies, that makes me sad too. He has a gorgeous bungalow in it's own grounds with lovely gardens. My brother will be taking him to Scotland for a holiday when it all happens, they will go in a cottage and my brother has a motor boat. Dad is looking forward to it as he really needs to get away.
