Living on the Rollercoaster

Less than one minute read time.
Mum & dad have just spent almost 6 hours in the hospital and mum had one blood transfusion. They said they haven't time to do anymore today, so they have to go back on Monday. But they also say she didn't really need any blood, but was giving it her anyway as her blasts have risen a bit since Monday. She also needed more platelets. They have again upped her dosage of chemo to 6 tablets a day. Now she was on six before and they brought her counts down to 0.7% a few weeks ago, but after dropping the dosage to 4 a day, her blasts went up. They are trying to find the right balance. It's still a shame as mums neuts are zero and will be for as long as she is on the chemo tabs. No news on the trial. I'm beginning to wonder if there ever will be. Mum is feeling ok though which is the main thing and is eating like Mr Ed the horse.

    Hi Kirsty

Mum is ok thankyou. Been to see my parents today.

Mums temp is fine. It sometimes goes up a little when she takes her chemo tabs, but it goes down itself now without the need to take paracteomol.

She was very chatty today and was doing a jigsaw. She feels weak though and it wore her out getting out of the bath.

Other than that, you wouldn't think there was anything wrong with her as she was chat, chat chatting.

    Binnie xx
