new to the site

1 minute read time.
Hi everyone, Have just joined the site after coming across it by accident, and finding how supportive you all are. Found lump in Jan 2008 and in February found it was a cyst. Had it drained a couple of times and then in March decided to operate. Surgeon wanted another couple of drainings, and had to go back in April. Decided to operate but as my son was getting married in June decided they would operate in july. Had cyst removed and went back on 5th August to get results, when I was told they had found some cancerous tissue, and needed to take more tissue away. I said dont bother and give me a masectomy! Went in for op on 15th August and get results 2nd September. They are surprised as they went through tests again and it was definitely a cyst. I remain incredibly positive and try and find something to laugh and joke about every day. How I will feel if I have to have any treatment I dont know but will cross that bridge when I come to it. No doubt will get through whatever comes my way. Have got an incredible supportive family and lots of friends which really helps. Pauline x

Hi Pauline - you have half the battle won with your positive outlook. You're blessed in having a good supportive family and good friends, something we can never have enough of. I believe it's the people we love and who love us back, that give us the strength and will to fight and to go keep on fighting if we need to. I hope you get good news on 2nd September - I'm getting results from PET/CT scan on 1st September. So you send out positive vibes for me on the 1st and I'll do the same for you on the 2nd, ok? Stay strong, and good luck sweetheart, with love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kate
