Bigsisters Littlesister - Burn?Help pls...

Less than one minute read time.
Quick one today.... Mums actually asked me to blog this one: Sister has had 6/30 radiotherapy treatments to the head. In the last 2 treatments she has got a red patch on the forehead which is stingy. She isn't having radiotherapy to the forehead - the beams don't go through the front, they are both sides and from the top. The redness is temporary, lasting 30 mins ish. Sister says the stinging only starts when they change the machine so they are attacking from the top.... she is very worried this will accumilate and burn her... the nurses say its not the beams as they are not travelling in that area. The nurses say it is probably a reaction to the alcohol wipes they use to clean the mask or that the mask is tight in that area so it starts to hurt when she's had it on a long time...or that its just getting clammy in there after a while (sister is getting a few spots as it apparently does get hot). So, mum and I are wondering if anyone has any experiences of this problem with radiotherapy?? Any ideas/suggestions very very welcome. Love, Bigsister xx
