Hello, long time no type...
Just a quick update.
Littlesis has done one set of chemo now, and next week will start on dose number 2. Last time it was ok, so she's not too bothered about that.
Main problems are steroid related, moon-face, bloating, acne. They stopped the steroids last week and she takes something else now which interferes with the nerves so that she doesnt get tingly fingers with the lack of steroids. So hoping all those issues resolve in the next couple of weeks.
Her indigestion is also better - she had terrible indigestion, and they found that one fo the meds she'd been taking had burned her gullet so she's been on different meds, and also something to help heal the gullet. She's also one some kind of electric device starting today for the cystitis symptoms. Fingers crossed that takes away the pains from that too.
Mostly she seems ok. Rather quiet, but not unhappy. She naps a lot. Falls asleep infront of the TV etc. But that can happen after the RT, so I'm sure she will come round sooner or later!
I'm now 3 weeks away from new job which I'm really looking forward to, and Im particularly looking forward to a routine 'family day' on sundays as my new practice is closed on sundays.
