Hello!
Yesterday was my day off, and I went to see Littlesis and mum_maggie (my ma). Had a lovely visit!
Littlesis was just out of the shower at 1pm when I arrived (it's handy really as I can go to Sainsbury's in the morning and arrive for lunch - yet to her it must feel like Ive been there all day!!) and we had a look at the cosmetics she got at her 'look good, feel better makeover.... was tempted to nick a few bits, but I managed to resist!! Then we had lunch together in the conservatory. After a long leisurely lunch we discussed my homemade christmas cards(!), and Littlesis played with my new iPhone. Once we had tired of the conservatory we moved to the lounge and watched the cute little roberovski hamsters running in their wheel, and watched a bit of 'Ugly Betty'. Somehow all of that took from 1pm - 5pm!!! I then drove home in the terrential rain and wind. Yuk!
It was lovely to see mum and Littlesis. Sis deals with everything so well. (Read mum_maggies' blog for full details.) The shingles doesnt look too large on her chest and back, but the stretch marks - wow. they are rather large to say the least. It shocks me when I first arrive. She's been growing at such a rate due to steroids etc each time I go, she's visibly bigger, and looks less and less like the baby sister in all the photo's and memories. Infact she showed me the pictures of her in the dance show in summer - and she was a skinny little thing floating around the stage I seem to recall. Not anymore. Such an incredible change. Its hardly surprising her joints hurt - they are carrying 150% of her normal weight! It was also lovely to see mum. She's also coping really well, and Im really proud of her (you - if you are reading mum!). I think it is hard sometimes to talk about everything thats going on, and each day does seem to provide new issues and worries. So it was nice to relax together and I am looking forward to sunday and our secret (shhhh) shopping trip!
Love to all,
Bryony - Bigsister x
