Hello again everyone
am back at work today after having had my left tonsil removed to see if that was the cause of the cancer, am now waiting to go back to see if it was the primary cause or not,
Tell you something tho they were right about it being worse in older people than it is when your a kid, the pain was chronic the small codeine pills they gave me to take the pain away worked but the conspitaption was even worse in the end my gf gave me relief with a well lubed finger.
The primary site if it is the tonsil area i have been told that tonsil cancer is very rare, but in the area i live around Lincoln 4 cases have been diagnosed in the surgery i go to, so if it is rare then I'm a one in a million person !!!!!!!!
So can anyone who has had tonsil cancer tell me what they do next, i have been told that i will be having Radio Therapy and if they cant find the primary spot then the whole area will be irradiated
Going back to the pain the tonsillectomy caused then i just hope the radio therapy doesnt cause as much as i got with the inflammed area in my throat, the doctors say eat normally, i did i ate narmally as if i was 18months old, sometimes they dont know what they are talking about. i was eating yoghurts and rice pudding. and as i wasnt at work i was not using as much energy as i would have done so the rice pudding was ok but my GP asked me to be sensible with my eating habits and that if it was rice pudding then rice pudding it would be. Asda orange and mango juice gave me a lot of energy too being a diabetice was a problem too but i monitored my blood sugar levels daily and as i werent eating just drinking my levels stayed ok so i was ok!!!
Just coming back to work today and driving along at 05:30 this morning at minus 12 i had second thoughts and with the problems we have at work wish I;d have stayed off work but ah well ........................this vile disease aint gonna get me down so being at work is beter than being at home watching Jeremy Kyle etc and the Champions, altho kipping and waking up seems better than trying to keep warm at work today
