Well lets see what this week brings still got a sore throat and my swallowing don't get any better, but told it takes longer for adult tonsillectomy patients to heal. just hope it dont last over the xmas period. Mind you am working xmas day and Boxing day this year with New years day too, 3 shifts at triple time get the money in my pocket YEAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!
So this week will bring other things the ulcer on my big toe seems to be getting better nothing to do with this vile disease its part of the other problems i have (yes i know i'm falling apart LOL) but i have had diabetes which i can control but the big C is something that supposedly controls you, i am trying noto let it control me, but as alot of peeps on here says Living with it and not Dieing from it seems to be the best form of medicine.
It has been 3 weeks (nearly) since i had my left tonsil removed and still waiting for my consultant Mr McRae at Lincoln to tell me how it went, and when he is going to start my RT hope it will be in the new year as i have waited this long a few more weeks wont be a hardship.
The treatment plan has yet to be formulated for me and i have been reading the literature that MACMILLAN provide on RT and find it quite interesting LOL seems i will need a mask altho my GF says it will be an improvement LOL. positioning is the key to good RT and seems to me if they have located the Primary Cause then the RT should be pin pointed on that area but it seems that from the CT and PET scans proved the primary spot cannot be located then i will have to be irradiated from the top of my head to the middle of my chest, dont know what difference in the treatment but suppose i will be told by someone on here. Been looking into the sore throat thing and the possiblitiy of needing energy drinks to keep me working can anyone tell me what there is on the market or will they provide me with the necessary sustenance throughout the course of the treatment., i have been told it can take upto 8 weeks to settle down after the last dose of RT, but we will have to wait and see wont we depends on my body, if it goes on the same lines as the tonsillectomy then it werent too bad.
Anyway anyone who wants to comment on any of my blogs please feel free to do so and any advice will be greatly recieved
