Missed one out

1 minute read time.

Seem to have missed one out the "5 down 29 to go" has been missed out not on purpose but i wasnt at work yesterday and while i did have the weekend off i went shopping to Meadowhall to try to get my gf something from the M&S there she had a voucher from her parents for xmas but could not find anything there too, so the trip was wasted, i lost my lay in and i was really tired but went to see my mum and set the plan rolling for the sponsored walk in Derbyshire, when i am fit enough to do it that is.

Thinking about doing a 12 to 15 mile sponsored walk in the Peak District with my family and friends supporting me along the waymy 3 boys will go with me and so will my gf not had a reply from my brother yet but as he's a hard working guy who lives in Dorset getting him to come along could be a problem, been advised that the treatment doses sorry fractions will take place as late as possible enabling me to continue at work as long as possible and not to upset my boss too much as i have done today and maybe tomorrow and thursday.

Route i was thinking about doing was in the Ladybower dam area of the Peak District with beautiful views along the way i love it up there i was born in Derbyshire and think its the most beautiful county in the UK, no doubt others will dissagree with me but hey ho thats my choice.

    Hi Al,

I would give yourself a chance, you only have had 5 and your tired. What do you think you will be like after the full course of treatment. I would have a word with your Radiologist and see what they say.

We dont want you to end up back at square one. But its Your Discision. Your choice. Whatever you

decide all the best and Good Luck.

    Take Care Sarsfield.

    Hi Al,

Glad that the RT is going well. I can understand why you want to do the sponsored walk, especially in beautiful surroundings, but make sure you give yourself a chance to recover from this treatment first.

            Take care and feel well,

                    lizzie xx

  • Don't worry about missing  the odd treatment. I had my radiotherapy interrupted by Bank Holidays - it is easy to catch up and so no need to get stressed. I know radiotherapy can take the strength right of you but it passes.

Hi Big Al - it would certainly be a great place for a walk. My son lives in Sheffield and we've had lots of great walks around Ladybower, such beautiful countryside ... but don't you go tiring yourself out! X
