Fund raising IDEAS

2 minute read time.

Have been sat here watching the world go by and thinking about what i can do to help this fantastic charity?

Have had a few ideas for fund raising getting sponsorship and giving something back for all the help that this site has done for me over the time i have been on here, some ideas are listed below

SPONSORED BUNGEE JUMP (that could be hard as im quite a big guy and my youngest son said where would they get the bungee cord from or a crane that has a tare weight of over 200 ton

Sponsored things are the way forward it gives you the added bonus of going and collecting the money they have pledged when you are knackered it keeps you going.

My middle son thought of a 24 hour sponsored fishing match his thought of my RT making me glow and we could all see our floats in the dark.

One thing i actually do want to do is write a blog or a daily log and have it printed and sell it via macmillan shops dont know if that would be worth anything though

Eldest son said to do something which all three boys could help me out with, then i thought they could do a sponsored silence but that wunt get much money as they dont shut up only when they sleep.

I sit here in my office looking at Lincoln cathedral on the top of the hill next to the castle only to be disturbed by the drivers wanting to be signed in, i dont want to do anything too strenuous as i am not a physically demanding person sponsored walking round the city boundary was one idea or to my old village and back which would be about 75 miles, wouldn;t do it allin one day would need a rest when i got to the village of my birth., i think all the guys who come into the goods in gate would contribute a small amount making the small amount a bigger amount, but its finding the right thing to do come to think of it my best mate did a 100 mile walk for cancer when his father died over 30 years ago i helped him out then and have no doubt he would help me out too along with his two kids who i am god father to his daughter, she was very shocked when i told her what i had, to be honest the more i think about it the more appealing the walk from Lincoln to Whitwell and back to finish at Lincoln Hospital yea that sounds good just have to put it into action.

Right will email the fund raising team here and se if that is a goer

Hi I thought of the same thing, as I had throat cancer I say a add in the paper for charity, it was for the childrens hope house, so I thought I will do it for charity, it was a abseil down a castle only 65 feet. I did it and got the photo to prove it, got cancer and being 66 I thought good on me and got money for the kids charity might do it again it was great

    Hi Big Al,

I have just had a great Idea. I will go on a sponsored silence for the rest of my life. We could make a fortune for Macmillan Charities. Thats unless they find a Provox Valve that will work.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care and be safe Sarsfield

Good idea.... I done the bungee jump for childrens cancer, and am planning a skydive for Macmillan, I think it's only natural that we want to support cancer charities, if we don't then why should others...... Good luck
