Another weekend of not knowing what is going to happen to me the hospital said they would get in touch with me regarding the information for my PET Scan, have they sent it probably but the post has been and gone and nothing.......... i'll get the info on the day when i have left on the train for nottingham..... or the letter will be on the mat telling me its cancelled but i'll already have beenthe internet and email is so sophisticated now that everyone with an eamil account can be sent the info throo the world wide web, are they afraid that the wrong person will get the info. We are using the www to chat and write blogs the hospital are using out dated technology to contact people who need to know as son as possible so they can plan things, how do we get to know information about our treatment, by snail mail, the email system is far in front, i know how to use the search engines, and have found out about PET scans fromm google so if google knows why dont the hospitals send the info via the web, and i know what you are all gonna say its a medical confidentiality thing, rubbish i know the time i knopw the date they told me over the phone, so why dint they email me the information about what to do before i get there about not eating 6 hours before. i can understand the data protection act and the medical confidentiality too i have been trained as a occupational health technician in the past and know these things but as to information that is readily available off this site and off google and wikipedia, it just beggars belief that they tell you over the phone and do they ask you 2 simple questions like your date of birth and where you live, you have given them your mobile number and i know that the phone calls can be tapped, ooooooooh getting to the "big brother is watching you phase" Why dont they use the technology that ther it saves money our money we pay for it throo taxes and national insurance
Thats my rant for today anyone want to add me as a friend or dropo me a line to ths blog they are welcome to do so. watch this space it could get worse
