Nearly the end of the first week of RT just one more dose of beingh zapped, had to laugh yesterday as i stood there in the scanning room bare chested i actually cobered my nipples with my hands, dont know why the 2 radiographers had man handled my body the previous day and here i was being bashful in front of two radiographers who had probably seen worse bodies than mine LOL
Then they could not find my zapping plates, dont know the actual name but they are the plates they put in to direct the beam, apparently they thought i had already been in that day so i said "Ok i'm off see you tomorrow." Bumping into the nurse with the zapping plates saying to me "You don't get away that easy" with a laugh. I am really put at ease there they like to keep you in the shell for the least time possible, me i am focussed on the treatment as it is a MEANS to an END, it will prolong my life, not much to ask 15 mins each day for 34 days, i can't understand why some patients take a lot longer than others surely we can all lay still for 15 mins without too much discomfort but then again NO PAIN NO GAIN, just as i said earlier a means to an end making me realise that to get this vile disease out of my body i will and am undercoing a little discomfort. A sore mouth for a few weeks is nothing compared to less years in life.
Looking forward to the weekend every no and again me and my gf have a weekend off together Sat Sun & Mon this weekend we are both rota'd off together that means Meadowhall tomorrow am sure of it, bang goes my Lie in, uo early at 7 ish to wend our way from Lincoln to Sheffield, expect she'll fall asleep as we drive there its alright for some. I want a lie in and dont get it LOL
Ah well suppose we only get one weekend off in 12 so we like to make the most of it and it means i dont have to be zapped on the sat or sun ah bliss !!!
