    Mum had a stent fitted yesterday morning it went very smoothly, she was in a bit of discomfort but is finding it a bit easier now, still on liquids while it settles tho. We found out the tumour is 8cm long which isnt great but the radiogist said it wasnt awful. He was very kind too he didnt understand why she hasnt been offered more treatment either.     Its been a good day today Mum got the waited phonecall on when she was having the stent fitted, its gonna be on monday next week. we are all very pleased because all she has been living on is soups, shakes, yogurts and for some reason she can manage malteasers ha so we have been stocking up on them for her lol.     We went to the family gp today who was so caring, he has refered mum to the royal marson for a second opionon. He said that they might say the same as what brighton clinic did but he said there might be something they can offer.     Today is the 17th of feb 2009 We were told mum shouldnt have treatment yesterday as it wouldnt help her, its finally starting to sink in slowly and i HATE it. she has so much to live for, my sisters wedding in july and the main focus is watching her grandchildren grow up. I have found that the doctors arnt actually very helpful which hurts so im arranging for her to see a private specialist to see if he can help anymore…
