cancer can be a fixer for family

Less than one minute read time.

My  eldest brother and i were very close in humour , likes , dislikes, but    we have sisters and unfortunately one was a SH!!t stirrer  as a result  of  her  actions it  ended up in  a fall out  with my brother  and myself  and  we hadn,t  spoken  for over ten  years until  cancer  hit  me and  one of the first people to ring me was my brother who now goes to  chemo  and radiotherapy with me ,  and none of the family bother with the sister anymore ,   so maybe  this could be a case of cancer being positive?  but i know that without me having something as serious as cancer we probably would never have spoken again as both so stubborn  anyway for what it,s worth thats a bit of my story

Well that is some good news anyway.

Funny sometimes cancer can lose you family /friends but for you it turned out well.

I hope your treatment go's well and that your relationship with your brother lasts forever.

You certainly have a great attitude to your cancer which is definitely needed to fight it.

    Best Wishes Love Julie X

Also had something positive about having cancer.  My two sons did not get along and when the eldest one got married two years ago the youngest one refused to come the the wedding.  Since being diagnosed with cancer the month after the wedding the youngest one got in touch with his brother.  We now have a  little grandson who is being christened in August and the youngest is going to be godfather.

So cancer gave me my family back.

    Take care,

    Pauline x

Hello Birt111, glad you've found your sister again - behind every disappointment there is always a blessing in disguise and, as horrid as cancer is, you've found your best friend again.  Ann xx
