Can we have some good news please!!!

Less than one minute read time.
Went to see onclolgist today and after being really optimistic after 3 rounds of chemo which were significantly shrinking the tumour and lymph glands, we found out it has been growing again while having the last 3 rounds of chemo . Talk about an absolute shocker! We have been told he can try Taxotere to see if that works. Before he starts that we are definitely having a holiday, probably next week. We have 2 boys 11 and 12 years old and my husband is only 40. I don't know how I'm going to keep it together.

  • Hi Beanpole,

Just here to offer a word of comfort and welcome - you must be going through loops at the moment and need all the support you can muster. This site is a good place to come for help and understanding.

    All my best wishes,

Hi chic............I'll give you some positive news. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March of last year, I started chemo straight away, I had 4 lots and they didn't touch the cancer and it spread, then I had a total hysterectomy and alot of my bowel and a few other bits where taken away leaving some cancer in my stomach, not good my dear BUT after having 6 new chemos sessions and going to hell and back again, I am now in steady remission and I shouldn't even be around to tell the tale. Even my consultant has now told me that he didn't think I would make it. Well I have!............Love Carol
