Arrived early at Ninewells for my PEG implant. Settled in and all admin completed. I was delayed in the endoscopy suite for over an hour due to the ward doctors not completing their proper procedures.
I was finally taken in for the procedure around 12:05 and sedated and the procedure started. I’m not sure what happened, due to the sedation, but the staff aborted the procedure due to not being able to have sight of the the endoscope light through my stomach wall.
I have now been referred to have a Radiologically Inserted GastRos to you; which should happen before radiotherapy starts on 14th June.
