Halfway through radiotherapy after today’s session and very tired and sore. After yesterday’s session, I had to call the radiotherapy nurse helpline after a very sore bout of coughing and vomiting. I had to revisit Ninewells for an assessment and various tests and blood samples taken. On inspecting my throat the nurse said I had a bad case of oral thrush. Now on antibiotics, mouthwashes and other medication.
This has been hard 3-week period of radiotherapy and I’m not sure if my body was ready for it. After a year on immune-suppressant drugs, how much fight to I gave left to see off Guid cancer?only time will tell.
