We arrived at the Beatson to be greeted by lovely staff, room was ready and waiting for Bert. Tea and toast were served to both of us and we were left for a little while to get settled in.
Bloods taken Hickman line checked, cleaned and redressed. Apparently they have never seen a line like it everyone had to come and check it out, as there were concerns that it may not be in the right place.
X-ray and Echo all done. Blood results back Dr not happy as Bert is Neutropenic before he starts his chemo, Bone Marrow Aspiration has now to be done as they want to check the state of his Marrow before going ahead. Panic has now set in as there is now doubt as to whether he will get it or not.
Day -8 We are still sitting waiting at 1.45 to find out if they will go ahead. Bert has been in tears most of the morning,
Will write more when we have been told yes or no
Love Teri
