Day 12 Bertie Bassetts Return Journey

Less than one minute read time.

Another infection free day for Bert. No temp. No Hypertension. No Fluids. Still not eating though he has lost a stone in 2 weeks but at least he is feeling better.

He slept most of the day so I managed to get a cardigan knitted for our grandchild due in March. If he keeps this up I will have a whole layette done by the time we are finished with this cycle of chemo. Pity I can't take my sewing machine too!!I could get the sheets and blankets made while he is in.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I must admit Bert is struggling now he is so tired. Tired both physically and mentally, he is scared of what is still to come. His 5th cycle of chemo is over just waiting for him to recover before going for more chemo and Bone Marrow Transplant. I don't think he is sure that this is what he wants but has no alternative. He doesn't know that his AML has come back he thinks he is back in for the Myelodysplasia and I can't bring myself to tell him as he is so anxious.
