The appointment at the Haematology clinic went pretty much as expected. Bert is to have no further treatment. No more Chemo. No Chemo tablets. From here on is it will be palliative care only. Maintanence treatment will include Prophylactic antibiotics, anti fungals and antivirals. Blood Transfusions, Platelet transfusions when required.
We are still in shock I feel like someone looking in from the outside and it is all just a dream.
We have been given all the Hospice information Bert has had a talk with The Mac Nurse and she seems to have calmed him down However, think perhaps this is just the calm before the storm. OT are coming to visit the house to assess him for some aids to assist him at home.
Love Teri
