Well here we are at the start of a new day and am trying to look for all the good things.
Yesterday evening we came home from husband's first radiotherapy session to find a beautiful miniature rose plant on the doorstep with a card from the folks who live across the road to say they were thinking of us both.
On Sunday, we finally got to have the Big Tea Party we'd planned for David's birthday in February but had to postpone. It was touch and go whether David could make it to this party as he was in hospital last week, but he did it. The party went ahead. About 40 people turned up - some family, some neighbours and lots of friends. Champagne, yummy cakes and scones, oh and some tea! I could cry when I think what a lovely bunch of people they are. Our kitchen is littered with cards, pretty flowers and lovely pot plants. David sat in his chair looking slightly bemused (maybe it was the morphine!) but smiling.
So, to all our lovely family, our wonderful neighbours and our truly fantastic friends THANK YOU.
And to all my Macland friends, may you have a good day full of love, warmth and good things.
