Anxiety

Less than one minute read time.

Had an  endoscopy and found that I have indented stomach, I did ask my doctor what it could be and he said it could be a nearby organ pushing onto the stomach or something else so he sent me for bloods (they came back fine) and a ct scan which I had today, I have had pain in the upper left stomach below the ribs for about two years on and off but I put it down to my fibromyalgia.

Since last Friday I've had severe anxiety, unable to eat much I've lost weight because of this and I've been having  hysterical crying spells, I'm unable to go out with my kids (I  have a 2 month old, 1 year old and 6 year old). I also have severe health anxiety which is debilitating I was fine last week before the scan I took my kids out to a farm and now I'm struggling to function properly. I keep going over the worst case scenario all the time, I'm so exhausted, I was just wondering if anyone else felt like this? The only respite I get is when I sleep or when I have a glass of wine

  •  Hi kels, I think the extreme  anxiety of not knowing is the worst part. I also thought about all the possible worst things and it exhausted me. I think it human nature to have these thoughts and scenarios go through our minds. I know it’s difficult but for me I tried to focus on something different even if it was only for a few minutes. Hope this helps even a little bit. Stay positive

  • Thank you for replying, I've been ok today I've only cried twice, it does go through my mind alot and I find myself obsessively googling my symptoms which I shouldn't do, I Hope your ok and your health

  • Morning Kels glad you had a better day. I did the google thing too and it made me feels worse because I don’t know exactly the type of lung cancer or the treatment.I’m just glad that I will get treatment. A lot of people find a small escape listening to podcasts maybe you could try that for a short time. I’m good thanks. Enjoy your day. Shazzy

  • I hope treatment goes well for you, I will keep you updated if I hear any news on my results
