A really good day

1 minute read time.

Yesterday was a really good day. We went to a family silver wedding anniversary celebration at Signatures Restaurant in Conwy. Started with smoked salmon rissotto with parmesan flakes and chive oil, followed by slow braised welsh lamb served on a savoy cabbage, parsnip and tarragon mash, and a lovely selection of vegetables. Finished off with cinnamon creme brulee and a damson sorbet served on a shortbread bisuit. It was absolutely divine. If you live in this area or are visiting it's well worth a visit. They have a website where you can see the menus and download special offer vouchers. It's situated on a holiday park, a very posh holiday park, close to the golf club and conwy marina. Had lots of hugs and kisses, and 'you look marvellous' which made me feel even better. It was so nice to be able to go as I have missed so many celebrations and events over the past year. Thankfully my unpredictable bowel behaved itself!

Then last night, what a night I had. Went to bed at about 10.30 and nodded off quite quickly. I dreamt I met Tom Jones (now that's unusual) and then woke up at 1.30 so went on the laptop for 1/2 hour. I nodded back off to sleep and then dreamt I met Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen in his new soft furnishing shop. As I went in I said 'Good Morning' and he replied 'Good Morning Angela'. 'Oh how do you know my name?' I said and he replied 'I know ALL about you'. So who's been talking??

Today it's bloods and tomorrow IV chemo. Not looking forward to that as it hurts my veins. They're going to try a longer canula further up my arm to see if that helps. They assure me that it won't be any worse than the usual canula. So an exciting 6+ hours at the cancer centre tomorrow. A colleague will be there having her chemo tomorrow so at least I'll have someone to chat to. Sometimes it's like a doctor's waiting room with no-one saying a word. I usually have to start up a conversation as I'd go potty otherwise. Last time I even got a neck and shoulder massage from the red cross lady, so hopefully I'll get another one tomorrow.

Wishing all my MAc friends a really good day.

Dear Angela, glad you enjoyed the silver wedding dinner, I love welsh lamb and vegs. I'm not a pudding person, though friends may disagree as I've put  extra weight on this last 3 months. I hope you have a better time with the chemo angela, love linda

To be honest.Tom nor Laurence do anything for me, but George, yes, he could be a contender. My husband Kevin thinks he looks like George Clooney and yes, I guess if you squint your eyes and stand a good distance away, he does.  If I was a wee bit younger I'd probably go for Jason from Take That, but I've a feeling he's gay. Still it is only a dream so he could be straight for one night!
