Morning all :-)
I think touch wood that I have now got rid of my cold... Only lasted two weeks which seems to be par for the course - spoken to lots of people who have had it for three weeks!
So what's been happening? T's Dad and better half came over last Saturday for lunch across at the Village Centre - great food and cheap! Then on Sunday I did nothing again in the hope of defeating the cold by Monday (yes - I failed!) Even cheated on Sunday lunch and bought something ready made from Waitrose to save taking the time to cook a roast. Now that does prove I was feeling pooh!
And so we drifted into Monday and the working week had started again.
Had to stay in the office all day Monday as they were trying to sort out our phone system. Ever since we have moved the office in November we have been having trouble with getting an outside line and even being able to receive calls. Not that good a situation but it made the office nice and quiet! And the solution was simple.... fit a completely new system! Just glad it's all under the maintenance contract :-)
Now Tuesday was meant to be a trip to Wales but I was in luck as the client cancelled late on Monday as he had something urgent come up that he needed to sort. Thats luck in the sense that I could have another quiet day working locally rather than the long journey but a pain in that without the meeting we can't get them signed up as a new client! So Tuesday was nice and quiet again with plenty of rest and fluids and lemsip.
Wednesday and another day staying local and the cold is starting to leave my world. Two weeks of hell. Well not hell but feeling pooh and sorry for myself. Having people worried that the bugs might travel further and I end up with another UTI which is so not fun. Last effort to defeat the cold was to be in bed by 9.30 on Wednesday night.
And I think Mr Cold had now gone... Bye
Oops nearly forgot to mention - stag night is now almost sorted :-) Keep away from Ascot on Saturday 13th March or come and join us! lol
