Thoughts from the frontline - 86

1 minute read time.

Phew! What a weekend. :-)

And all we did was a massive clear up of the house. Not quite finished but about 80% done. At least we can now find things in our little house and, for the first time ever... we have no boxes of stuff left un-opened since the move!

And it is amazing what you find. Before today we did not know that we had 9 packs of spaghetti or 14 packs of un-opened tea (a mixture of different types I have to say). And about a zillion pens and pencils! But we still couldn't find those socks that had gone missing.

We did attempt a trip to the tip to get rid of the mountain of rubbish we could now throw out but we turned back after seeing that the last half mile was still deeply hidden under snow and the hill was not one to try.

And then I found a pile of my medical paperwork and, yep, I had to take a look. The history of my cancer in official forms just reads like a very impersonal schedule of events. Now, I went through it all and it just wasn't like that. each examination, test, result and comment has helped me get to where I am today. Minus a few bits of my body I had just six months ago but, hey ho, they had gone "mouldy" on me! :-)

Tomorrow I'm back at work and it is going to be a busy week. As we can now get out of the village by road I have to catch up on the meetings that were cancelled last week.

As a famous explorer once said "I'm going outside and I may be some time..."

Toodle pip!

I spent the weekend clearing out some stuff as well, it must be that time of year! I hope you avoid frostbite (unlike the famous explorer) - especially if you're going for a tattoo like Kezzerbird! Val X
