Well I've reached my 100th blog on here! :-)
Firstly I have to say a few words about my stag do last Saturday. It was a great afternoon and evening with the boys. Lucky for me I had chosen my male friends well and I didn't end up naked and tied to a lamppost somewhere that i had never been before!
A lazy afternoon watching the rugby with plenty of cold nectar to was down the bowls of chips. Shame the matches were not the best ever but still good to watch. Lucky for us We had planned well and the hotel had laid on a big screen to watch the games on. And I mean BIG. Projected picture on the screen must have been at least 10 ft wide!
Games finished we order the cabs to take us to the jazz club just a couple of miles away. Well behave and quite sober they even let us in the club without any trouble.
We had a table booked for the ten of us and they had even made us little place names with our food order listed so we knew what we had coming - being men we had mostly forgotten what we had ordered the week before!
Food booze and jazz then followed and much fun was had by all :-)
The music was great and lasted all night and we ordered our cabs for about 11.30pm. Within a few minutes three brand new Mercs arrived to whisk us back to our hotel. And they sure did "whisk"!!! They were the fastest taxi drivers I have ever seen. Holding onto the straps we seemed to be driving at about 100 mph on the wrong side of the road and never slowing down for roundabouts!
What felt like 10 seconds later we were back at our hotel and we took the walk to the bar. But....
...it was closed! Help! We needed more beer!
Lucky for us we had Lee in our party. He looks like someone you just don't want to mess with so we sent him over to the night porter to "negotiate" for us.
5 mins later he came back with the news that if we had cash they would provide us with bottled beer and wine to complete our evening. Pockets were raided and kids piggybanks would have been broken into if found but we raised enough cash for part three of our evening!
Pool and table football was played and the world put to rights until the early hours and then we all departed for our beds. I had booked twin rooms for us all but I had told them that I had to get one double bed room and that they lucky "couple" would find out soon! He He :-)
Breakfast was way too early but we never saw two of our crowd. We all wondered if they had been lucky to be sharing the double bed!
Overall we had a great time. Good fun booze food and music and nobody to lashed to enjoy themselves.
I could now tell you about the girls hen night but I think I will leave that up to them to explain their evening. There's included naked flesh........... ;-)
Sunday was quite restful with sorting more wedding stuff out then Monday started what was to be a very busy week of work. Just squeezing this blog in before back to the grindstone! No it's been a good week for work - very creative and out with clients every day.
hugs to you all
