My mum has not had a very easy time of her chemo over the last few weeks, she does seem to be fated at times, last Wednesday she should have been having her 3rd dose, but her blood cells were too low although she had a blood transfusion on the Monday that should have helped, but didn't. Anyway she was sent home again to come back this Wednesday she had her bloods done all was ok, but apparently the script had not been written up by the doctor so again she was sent home and told to ring up on Friday to see if they can fit her in on Tuesday next week, i am getting really concerned as she should really be on her fourth set and i am worried that all these delays could be making the lung cancer worse.
Has anyone else had the problems of scripts not being ready?, i was amazed that this was not checked prior to her going anyway, but not sure how all of it work to be honest.
My worry is she seems to be getting quite depressed at the moment and it is very hard to keep her spirits up.
Sorry for going on a bit, but i find this is the only place people seem to be able to answer your questions.
