have no idea what i am doing

Less than one minute read time.

A friend has head and neck cancer.  Palliative treatment only now.  His partner phoned me tonight.  (they live 200 miles from me)..  He has a PEG tube in for the past few months.  Tongue is gettting bigger and she is exhausted with all the washing because he is dribbling and coughing up fluids.  I think she needs help with this and have been looking on websites  for disposable waterrpoof pads to protect bedding etc.

Apparently these will not be supplied by nurses.  Why ??  Macmillan nurse has been out today and district nurse goes weekly.

He is not incontinent, so that is why he cannot get any supplies.  Why is there such a difference, they are both bodily fluids?

I am trying to order some stuff and send it to them.  Does anyone know any good websites or suppliers I can arrange to send for them

Would welcome any suggestions please

Ambrosia, i cant understand why the

Mac nurse cant give your friends hubby

    disposable pads.She should ask again.

Also if the nurse comes from there GP

she should be able to help. I was a nurse

in a Hospice and we had the required

pads for people with the same condition.

Your friend could even ask her local

chemist. If i can get any information for

you i will let you know.

    With Love Lucylee. xx
