Can anyone give me some reassurance

Less than one minute read time.
Painful Bones Hi Everyone, I completed my six courses of TAC chemo five weeks ago and am experiencing the most awful bone pain, mainly in my legs. I can't seem to get the pain under control. I am now going daily to Bath R.U.H. for radiotherapy which is quite exhausting in itself never mind the treatment. I can't sleep at night and don't know how to cope with the pain during the day. My husband works abroad and I have been very proud of myself at having coped on my own up til now, but what with not sleeping and constant pain I feel I can't cope. Has anyone had this after effect from chemo, how long does it last and is it common?? I had a bone scan on Monday and am really fearful of the results. Love to you all Ally xx

  • Hi Ally,

I've just read your profile and through that linked your reply to 'Just lost Father-in-law Today'. It helps others to help you if they know a little more about YOU, and your profile is very short and obviously out of date. The tragedy that has struck your family is too awful and I'm so sorry. You were obviously there to support your siblings when they lost their children and I know, through experience, how devastating it is to lose a child; my nephew, on the brink of a brilliant career as an airline-pilot, crashed his 'plane and died. I do hope that you can all draw strength and support from one another now. Please ask for help.

I'm not religious but I am sending 'positive' thoughts to you.

    All my good wishes,

    KateG
