i have to have an ultra sound on friday, my surgeon has found something in my armpit on the side that i had the cancer, i am really worried about this, hopefully it will be nothing, but since i never got offered chemo (i had a grade3 1.6mm tumour) then i really don't feel that i had enough treatment at the time, so you can imagine how my mind is currently working, would be interested to hear if anyone else has had to have scans and what the outcome was.

Oh dear... it's that old form of torture back again - waiting for tests... waiting for results. I'm so sorry. Did you have lymph nodes removed? It may be the swelling is something to do with them. I go for my first post-operative mammogram next Friday too and once you have danced with the devil you never know if the b*gger is going to stamp on your toes again.
i had my surgery on that side in june 2007, i had 9 lymph nodes removed and had to have it aspirated twice, then no swelling at all. but yes, the waiting is torture, my poor hubby looks like he is lost at the moment, i wasn't going to tell him about it, but i need all the support i can get at the minute and he would'nt want me to carry this on my own. life really is horrid at times, i went through this with my last mammogram, had to wait 8 days before they scanned the new mass in the good breast, even though it was clear i decided that i was not going to go through that again, so i had that breast removed in october last year. we do so much to stop this coming back, then just when your on an even keel, well, in comes the storm!
