My Lovely Dad

Less than one minute read time.
My Dad has had 2 chemo sessions so far to help him with lung cancer. He is on the GemCarbo regime. I cannot believe it but he has had no side effects from the chemo, and actually feels better already. His cough is not so bad, and he can talk without gasping for breath. I can't tell you how delighted I am. We were all so scared when he started chemo, as you hear about so many awful side effects, but, touch wood, he has been really lucky. We are all being very positive and doing lots of things together as a family, which I think has helped. for all you lovely people out there, just keep positive. xxx

Hi Alison, pleased to see your dad is feeling so well after chemo, I hope this continues, although it does have an accumulative effect and as time goes on side effects become more apparent.  I didn't suffer too much during chemo.  Like you say, you hear so many horror stories and it is nervewracking until you actually experience it and find it's not as bad as feared.

Hope you and your family have a lovely weekend.  Best wishes to you all, Christine xx
