A CONCLUSION TO LAST BLOG

1 minute read time.

It wuould seem from all the comentson my last blog there are alot who think the same as me that it is how the site is run that may be the problem and not the site itself . for those who say thereshould be two sites one serious and one for fun well there are just no one uses the one for fun. also from the amount of coments i am begining to think that blogs and pms are a better way .

I never had chance to go on the old sites as were not in use when first came on here but from what i am gathering they were a lot better than this one .On here you can not follow a personal thread properly . there is whisper and private chat which i have used alot and found it ok . As for pms some one said all his are ,then whats the point of private messages any way ,if we all had open ones . I am sure most on here agree with the pms part of this site .I think there is alot that can be made better so lets hope the powers at be get round to sorting things out . We know they have no intentions of going back to the old system even though lots of us have tried to make them listen to us .there way of letting us know whos boss i supose

As soon as the holiday period is over I will get back on to the community support people at Macmillan and try and get this sorted out. We were part-way there when James left, and I suppose we have a new lot now to educate.

Quite honestly after tacking the Health Service, and hospital consultants in particular, sorting out a web site should be a piece of piss (oops, can I say that on here?).

I cannot speak for the What Now?, but I was aware of tensions and arguments btween participants on "Share". I think we have to learn to expect the occasional misunderstanding, and accept apologies. The trouble with the web is that the words stand on there own and sometimes do not seem to mean what the writer meant.

Perhaps some folk need to read their submissions carefully before pressing "add" "send" or "post", particularly as editing is no longer possible.

    Hi Adam (Fenteacher)

I totally agree with your comments, however it is possible to edit, hun.  It's just a bit long winded...You have to leave the thread that you have posted on, go into another thread or blog, then go back to the original thread and your post, click on the more button, then on 'edit', it will bring up your post so that you can change it and re post.  Hope all that makes sense. lol.

Disagreements are part of human nature, it's the unnecessary nastiness that I find upsetting.

    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we are taking what  you're saying on board and next year we do plan to improve things on the site. But I will let James give you an update in the new year so look out for news in the admin blog.

    Take care
