hi im really worried and am looking for advise. i have recently had a smear test which came back as having borderline cell changes and a hpv infection. Im booked in to have a colopscopy on the 30th march and im going outta my mind with worry and keep trying to stay positive and focused but its so scary.

Try not to panic Ems, I had a similar result from a smear about 25 years ago. I had a colposcopy which confirmed CIN3 and then had cold coagulation treatment. I had no further problems. Last year I had a hysterectomy for an unrelated condition and in view of my history everything was checked for malignancy and there was none.

Caught and treated early you should be just fine.

thanx marsha my colposcopy is this wed and my stress levels have peaked!! i think im ok then crumble. im sure everything will be fine and i keep telling myself that. i will keep you posted
