All I want for CHRISTMAS!!!

Less than one minute read time.
The house is just about decorated and Abel has put up his village which takes up 2 large banquet tables. He has been playing the Christmas music since before Thanksgiving and for the first time we don't complain about the music. I am really not looking forward to Christmas because all I want is not going to be under the tree! I know I should be more upbeat but its really tiresome trying to remain up and positive with my family but really just my household. I feel like my shoulders are very heavy! I will stop the pity party for myself and encourage Abel to eat some breakfast.

Hi I have not even decorated the house this year as my husband will be in hospital for christmas and to be honest i do not have the energy nor inclination  to do it it is very tiring working 2 jobs and visiting every day (not that I would do otherwise) so my celebrations will be in the hospital. It is also difficult to remain upbeat for everyone else, try and get yourself some "me time" and relax and do something trivial and don't feel guilty about it

    Hi Abeswife,

Of course you feel the need to be upbeat and strong for Abel, but why do you have to be forever jolly and cheerful for everybody else? Stop trying to carry the cares of the whole family on your shoulders and let someone else share a bit of the load. You'll be no good to anybody if you wear yourself out. So look after yourself as well!

    Best wishes, Shelagh

Hi there - it's not easy trying to keep up the brave, strong front, is it? You're not alone sweetheart, we all have days when we feel like that.  We have to get over them eventually, otherwise we wouldn't be able to "encourage Abel to eat some breakfast", or listen to all the Christmas music without complaint? It's not pity you are feeling for yourself, it is just the wish you have in your heart that things were better than they are which is causing the weight to feel heavy on your shoulders.  You will wake up one morning and suddenly it will seem as though some of the weight has gone.  Well, that is MY wish for you, Abel and your family this Christmas.  Hold on tight, with lotsa love          kate xxxxxxxxxx

    Hi Kate:

Thanks for your message! I was obviously feeling quite down in the dumps but things are better!  Abel and I just took our dog for a walk and enjoyed the christmas lights.

I read your most recent blog about your encounter with the doctor and that was really something to share. Good for you and I will remember this if needed it the future.

Your truly an inspiration and I hope that you hold on tight and keep the faith!

    Hugs, MB xoxo
